Beach Volleyball has literally found its home in Latvia, especially following the bronze medal claimed by Martins Plavins and Janis Smedins at the London 2012 Olympics.
Latvia’s success story in the sport has gone from strength to strength since those glory days at Horse Guards Parade, with Smedins and Aleksandrs Samoilovs claiming the men’s continental crown in 2015 in Klagenfurt before Tina Graudina and Anastasija Kravcenoka achieved the same feat in the women’s competition last year in Moscow.
