Women's Round of 24 of EuroBeachVolley completed

16 teams remained in CEV EuroBeachVolley 2024 in the Netherlands Women's Tournament. Some suprises and some confirms in the Round of 16 coming up, starting tomorrow in The Hague, Apeldoorn and Arnhem.

Tough challenges took place in the three hosting cities The Hague, Apeldoorn and Arnhem, with a lot of emotions and drama. Big battles on Dutch sand, with the Round of 16 starting tomorrow.

In the Hague Italian couple Orsi Toth, R./Bianchi grabbed a great comeback win over Germans Schieder/Borger, an emotional 2-1 win (18-21, 21-19, 15-9) which put the Azzurre to the Round of 16. 

It was a good one also for Finn Ahtiainen/Lahti in The Hague, a strong 2-0 win (21-19, 21-18) over Spanish Álvarez M/Moreno, clinching a spot to next Round.

Still in The Hague it was a strong win in the Dutch Derby for Bröring/van Driel, E. over Konink/Poiesz, a 2-0 victory (21-18, 28-26) for N.25 of the Seed, while Austrians Klinger D./Klinger R. defeated 2-0 (21-16, 21-17) Lithuanians Dumbauskaite/Vasiliauskaite.

In Arnhem Polish Sliwka/Wachowicz defeated 2-0 (21-14, 34-32) Czechs Dunarova/Mokrá after an infinite second set, while Germans Ludwig/Lippmann (GER) eliminated  2-0 (21-16, 21-19) home team Piersma B./Bekhuis from The Netherlands.

In Apeldoorn veterans Germans Schneider/Kozuch won 2-0 (21-19, 21-12) over Belgians Cools/Van den Vonder, a great performance for Margareta Kozuch, 38 year old, and her teammate Sarah Schneider, 28, back to the Top 16 of EuroBeachVolley after great careers also in indoor Volleyball.

Still in Apeldoorn it was a big battle between Austrians Plesiutschnig/Schützenhöfer and home team Stam/Schoon, N.2 of the Seed. The win goes 2-1 (19-21, 21-12, 15-9) to the Orange girls, who came back in third set to clinch a Round of 16 spot in front of the home crowd.
