Men's Tournament Quarterfinals stage is set

It's Quarterfinals time in The Netherlands for CEV EuroBeachVolley Men's Tournament. An emotional Round of 16 set up the top eight teams of Europe on the sand. 

Round of 16 time at CEV EuroBeachVolley 2024 in The Netherlands, approaching the Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals in next two days.

In The Hague experienced Italians duo Cottafava/Nicolai defeated 2-0 (21-19, 21-18) English Bello, Ja./Bello, Jo., while Spaniards Herrera/Gavira stunned 2-0 (21-12, 21-16) Austrians Hörl/Horst, clinching both the Quarterfinals spot.

Still in the Hague Czechs Sepka/Sedlak clearly won 2-0 (21-17, 21-13) over Swiss Métral/Haussener, and Dutchmen Van de Velde/Immers (NED) won 2-1 (18-21, 21-14, 15-11) on fellow Orange Brouwer/Meeuwsen.

In Apeldoorn Norwegian Mol, H./Berntsen defeated Lithuanians Stankevicius/Knasas 2-0 (21-14, 25-23), while Olympics Silver Medallists Germans Ehlers/Wickler clinched Quarterfinals by winning 2-0 (21-16, 21-15) over Dutchmen Boermans/de Groot.

Enthusiasm in Arnhem for home favourite Luini/Varenhorst, who defeated 2-0 (21-16, 22-20) Austrians Hammarberg/Waller, bringing another team from The Netherlands to Quarterfinals.

Last game of Round of 16 was between Latvians Plavins/Fokerots and Swiss Krattinger/Breer. It was a good win for Plavins/Fokerots, a clear 2-0 (21-18, 21-18) which put legendary Plavins and 19 year old Fokerots among the top eight teams in Europe, looking forward maybe something more.
