A very emotional Men's Tournament Pool Phase finished on today on Dutch sand in The Hague, Apeldoorn and Arnhem, 24 teams remained on track for the final days of challenge, approaching the upcoming no tomorrow games.
In Pool A in Arnhem it was a good effort for Dutchmen Luini/Varenhorst, N.17 of the Seed, who advanced in first place with three wins and no losses, in front of Frenchmen Aye, C./Bassereau, two wins and one loss, in third place Ukrainians Popov/Reznik with one win and two losses, with Austrians Seiser/Grössig eliminated with three losses.
The Hagues' Pool B saw Spanish Herrera/Gavira concluding the round with three wins in first place, in front of English Bello, Ja./Bello, Jo., two wins and one loss, Italians Marchetto/Windisch one win and two losses in third place, with Austrians Schnetzer/Kindl eliminated with no wins.
Apeldoorn Pool C, three clear wins and first place for Olympics Silver Medallists Germans Ehlers/Wickler, behind them Norwegians Mol, H./Berntsen, Dutchmen Penninga/Heemskerk and Czechs Semerad/Dumek all with one win and two losses. Czechs eliminated.
In Pool D in The Hague, Dutchmen Van de Velde/Immers took home three victories and sealed first place, in second place Polish Kantor/Zdybek, in third Italians Dal Corso/Viscovich, with Germans Henning/Just with three losses.
In Pool E in Apeldoorn, it was a good performance for Lithuanians Stankevicius/Knasas, three wins for them, second place for Dutchmen Boermans/de Groot with two wins and one loss, and third for Polish Janiak/Brozyniak, with Portuguese Pedrosa/Campos eliminated with no wins.
Pool F in The Hague, clean sheet for Czechs Sepka/Sedlak, no losses and first place for N.22 of the Seed, behind them home team Dutchmen Brouwer/Meeuwsen with two wins, followed by Swiss Métral/Haussener with two losses, and Polish Łosiak/Bryl in last place with three losses.
Still in The Hague Pool G, first place for undefeated Italians Cottafava/Nicolai, two wins and one loss for Austrians Hörl/Horst in second place, one win and two losses for Franchmen Rotar/Gauthier-Rat in third, with Dutchmen Sengers/Boehlé eliminated in last place.
Pool H in Arnhem, first place for Latvian Plavins/Fokerots with three victories and no losses, two wins and one loss for Austrians Hammarberg/Waller, one win and two losses for Swiss Krattiger/Breer, with in fourth place Germans Pfretzschner, L./Winter, eliminated due injury.
After 48 games in Pool's Phase, Men's Tournament arrived to Round of 24. The upcoming challenges are set on tomorrow on the Dutch sand, looking forward Semifinals and Finals in The Hague on saturday, last acts of this amazing edition of CEV EuroBeachVolley 2024 in The Netherlands.
