In CEV EuroBeachVolley 2024 Women's Tournament Day 2 saw the end of Pools' Phase, looking forward Round of 24 which will start tomorrow. A couple of surprises and big confirms in the Pool's Phase in The Hague, Apeldoorn and Arnhem.
Some surprises in Pool's Phase after CEV EuroBeachVolley 2024 Day 2, which saw two games for each team during the day, looking forward the challenges of Round of 24 starting tomorrow.
In Pool A in The Hague, N.1 couple of the Seed, Austrians Friedl/Trailovic finished without wins out of the Round of 24. First place for undefeated Czechs Hermannova/Stocholova, in front of Lithuanians Dumbauskaite/Vasiliauskaite with two wins and one loss, third place for Dutches Konink/Poiesz with one win and two losses.
In Apeldoorn's Pool B, after a very intense campaign, surprisingly in first place undefeated Ukrainians Hladun/Lazarenko, N.31 of the Seed. In second place Germans Schneider/Kozuch, who defeated in last game N.2 of the Seed home team Stam/Schoon, who finished in third place with one win and two losses. Eliminated Italians Bianchin/Scampoli with three losses.
In Pool C in Arnhem Latvians Graudina/Samoilova, N.3 of the Seed, stayed perfect with clean sheet clinching the first place, in second place Polish Sliwka/Wachowicz and in third Piersma B./Bekhuis of The Netherlands, with Frenches Placette/Richard eliminated.
In Pool D in The Hague, Italians Gottardi/Menegatti clinched first place despite the loss in first game of the Pool. Behind them other Italians Orsi Toth/Bianchi and Finn Ahtiainen/Lahti and the other Italians Orsi Toth/Bianchi, with French Vieira/Chamereau eliminated.
In Pool E in Arnhem for Germans Müller/Tillmann, remains undefeated atop the staindings with three wins and no losses, in second place fellow Germans Ludwig/Lippmann with two wins and one loss, in third Czechs Dunarova/Mokrá, eliminated Slovenians Kotnik/Lovsin T. with three losses.
In The Hague's Pool F first place for Swiss Vergé-Dépré A./Mäder, with three victories, second spot for for Spanish Alvarez Mendoza/Moreno Matveeva in front of Germans Schieder/Borger in third, with the other Spanish team Carro/González in last place without wins.
In Pool G in Apeldoorn clean sheet for Swiss Böbner/Vergé-Dépré Z. with three wins and first place, second for Austrians Plesiutschnig/Schützenhöfer, and third for Cools/Van de Vonder from Belgium. Eliminated Ukrainian team Davidova/Khmil despite the one win and two losses.
In Pool H in The Hague Lithuanians Paulikiene/Raupelyte finished in first place with three wins and no losses, in front of Dutches Bröring/Van Drie, two wins and one loss, and Austrians Klinger D./Klinger R. with one win and two losses. Eliminated Norwegian Helland-Hansen/Olimstad with no wins and three losses.
Tomorrow will take place Round of 24 in women's Tournament, headed to the big showdown in The Hague on saturday, with Semifinals and Finals
