Exciting Round of 24 in Men's CEV EuroBeachVolley 2024 in The Netherlands, approaching Round of 16 in late evening, with the winners of today's 2nd and 3rd Place games headed to challenge 1st Place finishers of the Pools.
In The Hague English couple Bello, Ja./Bello, Jo. won without playing versus Rotar/Gauthier-Rat, because of the forfait of the Frenchmen, while Austrians Hörl/Horst easily won 2-0 (21-11, 21-15) over Italians Marchetto/Windisch, clinching the Round of 16 spot.
Again in The Hague it was a big battle between Polish Kantor/Zdybek and Swiss Métral/Haussener, with surprising N.27 of the Seed from Switzerland who won 2-1 at tie break (16-21, 21-19, 14-16).
On the other The Hague court home favourite Brouwer/Meeuwsen won 2-1 (21-17, 19-21, 18-16) over Italians Dal Corso/Viscovich.
In Arnhem it was an easy one for Austrians Hammarberg/Waller over Ukrainians Popov/Reznik, a clear 2-0 (21-8, 21-10) in favour of N.9 of the Seed, while Swiss Krattiger/Breer won at tie break (18-21, 21-17,15-11) over Frenchmen Aye, C./Bassereau.
In Apeldoorn Norwegian Mol, H./Berntsen defeated 2-1 (21-17, 17-21, 15-12) Polish Janiak/Brozyniak, advancing to Round of 16, while the Dutch Derby saw the win of Boermans/de Groot over Penninga/Heemskerk a clear 2-0 (21-14, 21-15).
