Gelderland

Welcome to Gelderland!

Gelderland welcomes you! As one of the twelve provinces of the Netherlands, Gelderland is well known as a sports province. Not only we host this year’s CEV European Championship Beach Volleybal in the cities Apeldoorn and Arnhem, other major sports events like the World Championship Volleyball for Women 2022 took place in Gelderland. 

The province has fantastic sports locations, with National Olympic Training Center Papendal as their absolute highlight. Gelderland is also well-known for the Veluwe. This great national park is an excellent place for biking and hiking throughout the year.

You will also find a great mix of nature and culture in the main cities of Gelderland: Arnhem, Nijmegen, Ede and Apeldoorn.
