Four teams representing four different countries are still in the quest for the 2024 EuroBeachVolley crown. None of the medalists from the 2023 edition made it to this stage of competition, which makes the Saturday women's final day even more intriguing, especially that we will definitely witness some historic feat(s).

Lithuania's Monika Paulikiene and Aine Raupelyte, Italy's Valentina Gottardi and Marta Menegatti, Germany's Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann along with Switzerland's Esmée Böbner and Zoé Vergé-Dépré will fight for the medals on Saturday in the Hague.

Monika Paulikiene and Aine Raupelyte already achieved another milestone in the history of beach volleyball, becoming the first ever Lithuanian team to reach the EuroBeachVolley semifinals. Their achievement can be even bigger if they take home a historic medal. On the way to semifinals, they won Pool H and then in the knockout stage, the Lithuanians upset Austria's Klinger sisters (Round of 16) and Czech's Hermannova/Stochlova (Quarterfinals).

Italy has been waiting for the women's EuroBeachVolley medal since 2011, when Marta Menegatti herself triumphed together with Greta Cicolari in Kristiansand, Norway. Now 34-year-old Menegatti has a chance to repeat this success with 21-year-old Valentina Gottardi. It never happened before for any player at the EuroBeachVolley to return to the podium after that long medal drought. The Italian duo triumphed in Pool D, despite their defeat against compatriots Orsi Tooth/Bianci, but later on they were unstoppable, beating Finland's Ahtiainen/Lahti (Round of 16) and Switzerland's Vergé-Dépré A./Mäder (Quarterfinals).

Once the 2020 EuroBeachVolley champions - Vergé-Dépré A./Mäder - are eliminated Switzerland have another powerful duo to fight for the medals. Esmée Böbner and Zoé Vergé-Dépré made it for the first time to the top four of the EuroBeachVolley and can extend Switzerland's medal streak, getting a medal for this country at fifth consecutive event. Worth mentioning that three of four previous editions were won by Swiss teams. Zoé also has a chance to achieve a historic feat for her family as it never happened before that sisters, who are together in the team, won two medals for their family. Esmée Böbner and Zoé Vergé-Dépré  won Pool G and later on eliminated Germany's Schneider/Kożuch (Round of 16) and the local favourites - Dutch duo Stam/Schoon (Quarterfinals).

Germany's Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann, who back in 2022 won silver medals at the world championships, now have an opportunity to grab a medal at the European stage. However, back in 2020 Cinja Tillmann then with Kim Behrens won silver medals. Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann were unstoppable in Pool E and continued their winning streak in the knockout stage, defeating Poland's Śliwka/Wachowicz (Round of 16) and Latvia's Graudina/Samoilova (Quarterfinal).
